Lion Habitat at MGM Grand
The lion habitat at MGM Grand is one of the most popular indoor family attractions in Las Vegas with thousands of visitors every day. The lions are showcased in a large habitat right off of the MGM Grand casino floor, complete with a waterfall, foliage and rock ledges. Visitors are separated from the animals by thick protective glass that runs the perimeter of the jungle enclosure. Educational placards are placed strategically around the rim railing in an effort to educate the public about the majestic animal that has been associated with the MGM company since its inception. A special treat is an overhead ledge made entirely of glass. If you are lucky, the lions will be taking their naps up on the ledge and you can see them fully stretched out in all their glory.
When they aren’t on display at MGM Grand, the lions live on an 8.5-acre ranch 12 miles from the MGM Grand. They are owned and cared for by Keith Evans, a feline expert.
