Academy of Country Music Charity Motorcycle Ride
Get your motor runnin’ … the third annual Academy of Country Music Motorcycle Ride is set to roll through town on May 21. The event kicks off from the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson dealership at 10 a.m. and ends at the Fremont Street Experience downtown around 1 p.m.
If interested in participating in the ride, simply show up at the event with your motorcycle, between 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., and pay the $30 fee. All proceeds from the entrance fees will benefit the Academy of Country Music Charitable Foundation.
The ride will be led by the award-winning country music duo Montgomery Gentry. Among the other celebrities and musicians taking part are Shelly Fairchild, David Pichette & Dale Wallace (Emerson Drive), Steve Harwell (Smash Mouth), Buddy Jewel, Phillip Sweet & Jimi Westbrook (Little Big Town), Rockie Lynne, Memarie, Brady Seals (Hot Apple Pie), Ira Dean & Heidi Newfield (Trick Pony), Keith Urban, Donnie Van Zant (Van Zant), Brad Warren & Brett Warren (The Warren Brothers), and Chely Wright.
In addition to raising money for charity, the event serves as the kick-off to the Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be held at the MGM Grand on May 23.
