To “stay” or “stand” in a hand of blackjack means you are through receiving cards and are satisfied with your result (or simply feel it unwise to take another card). You can accomplish this move by waving your hand once over your cards as if to say ‘no more.” However, an additional verbal signal is always good, as it eliminates any possible confusion.
