Craps Lingo: “For the Boys”
In a craps game, “for the boys” is what a player will say when he or she is tipping the dealers. Sometimes the tip is given to the dealer straight across the table, and sometimes it is a bet that is placed right next to the players bet. You might also hear them say “two way hard eight.” That means that they are putting a bet for themselves and a bet for the dealers on the hard eight in the box. If the hard eight hits before the seven comes up, each bet will win 10 for 1.
