Tips for Winning at Roulette
There are a few ways to improve your play/minimize your losses while playing roulette. If you’ve never played Roulette before, check out our “Roulette Basics” page first, and then get back to these finer points.
- Look for a biased wheel: If you track the numbers being hit, and find that a particular number repeats within 100 spins, you might’ve found a biased wheel that is tipping the house edge to your favor.
- Keep your eye out for a dealer’s signature: Some dealer’s can’t help but get into rhythms where they are spinning both the wheel and the ball with the same trajectory and speed every time they spin. If you can spot this, you’re likely to be able to predict what particular zone the ball will hit next, if not the exact number.
- Avoid the least profitable payoffs: If you avoid betting the 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3, you stand a better chance of holding on to your money. These numbers, also called “the five number bet,” gives the house a 7.89 percent house advantage. Not smart.
