America’s Got Talent Winner To Play Las Vegas Hilton
This last Tuesday, the second season of the hit television show “America’s Got Talent” came to a close as the nation voted ventriloquist Terry Fator the top winner.
Though he says he started his career by discovering a book on ventriloquism in his library when he was ten, Fator has had to constantly struggle to find an audience for his show. Even as recently as last year, he says he would do shows that would draw less than ten people.
It’s funny how fast one’s life can change.
Making it past the first round of try-outs, Fator’s combination of ventriloquism and impersonations of famous singers quickly rocketed him to the top of the competition, where this week he beat out three other talented people to take home the prize.
So what does winning the show do for Fator’s career, besides showering him with $1 million in prize money? It gets him on the fast track to negotiations for his own show at the Jubilee Theater at Bally’s here in Vegas.
But first, Fator and his cast of puppet characters will be making an appearance at the Las Vegas Hilton on October 14th. Tickets for his 6pm show will be $39.95 and $79 and are available at the hotel box office or by phone at 800.222.5361. And his show is family-friendly, for those wondering.
Appearing on “The Today Show” Wednesday morning, Fator was asked what the first thing he would do with his million dollars would be. The humble Texan replied he intended to pay for his sister’s much-needed medical treatments that had been denied by her insurance company. Such a nice guy.
