Kathy Griffin Sasses Up the Suncoast

Comedian Kathy Griffin has forged a career with her sharp tongue and acerbic wit. She first rose to fame on the NBC show “Suddenly Susan” playing the sassy Vickie Groener but has made a name for herself as the self-proclaimed “Queen of the D-List,” referring to the level of her celebrity fame. She has parlayed that “D-List” status into appearances on such reality tv shows as “Surreal Life,” “Celebrity Mole” and “Average Joe.” She even starred in her own reality show, the aptly titled “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.”

Television appearances aside, Griffin’s main passion is stand-up and her routine generally skewers celebrity culture with a big prong. This D-Lister will be appearing at the Suncoast for a three-night stand beginning tonight.
