.38 Special Brings The South To The Silverton
Out of the wave of Southern rock bands that emerged in the late-70s and early-80s was .38 Special. Lead singer Donnie Van Zant (brother of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Ronnie Van Zant) and the band combined honky tonk country, blues-rock and hard rock into a sound that yielded hits like “Caught Up In You,” Teacher, Teacher” and “Hold On Loosely.”
Thirty years later, the band is still going strong and will be bringing their classic rock hits to the Silverton for a two-night stand beginning tonight.
