Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand on May 15
One of the biggest music events in Las Vegas is the live broadcast of the Academy of Country Music Awards, and this year’s edition should continue that tradition.
Airing live from the MGM Grand Arena, the 42nd annual ACM awards will be hosted for the ninth time by music icon Reba McEntire. She will also perform during the show, joined by special guest Kelly Clarkson. How cool is that?
Other performers scheduled for the show are Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Sugarland, Rodney Atkins, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean.
Tickets are still available via the MGM Grand box office and Ticketmaster, and are priced at $100, $150 and $300. Due to the live broadcast, all ticket holders must be seated by 4:30 pm and should be in semi-formal or dinner dress.
The ACM awards will be broadcast live on CBS, starting at 8pm (ET). It will be tape-delayed for west coast airing at 8pm (PT).
Following the broadcast, several of the country music stars will head over to the MGM Grand Ballroom for a separately ticketed All-Star Jam, which always turns out to be a great party. Tickets for that are also available at the MGM Grand box office and Ticketmaster, and they will set you back an additional $50.
