Barbra Striesand Tour Comes To Las Vegas This Fall

Though she vowed never to tour again, Barbra Streisand is going back on her word — but for a very good reason. All money raised by her upcoming recently-announced tour will be donated to her own Streisand Foundation, which in turn divies up the monies amongst other charities.

One of Ms. Streisand’s tour stops will be November 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Tickets start out at $100 and top out at a whopping $1000 a seat. American Express card holders got a chance this morning to purchase tickets before they are released to the public and many of the $1000 seats are already gone. If you just have to have these coveted floor seats, there are some special “Hot Ticket” packages left. Though these are pricing at $2,100, they also include a tour program, a “collectible” laminate and a special gift (no description of said gift available).

The promoters also state there will be a charity auction within the next few weeks, which will offer up some choice seats (possibly even front row) to the highest bidders.

Supporting Ms. Streisand on the tour will be the operatic vocal group Il Divo, which recently had their own headlining gig in town.
