Engelbert Humperdinck at The Orleans
Born Arnold George Dorsey, one of ten children, it’s wasn’t until he christened himself as Engelbert Humperdinck that the singer became a showbiz legend. Celebrating forty years in the business this year, Humperdinck has recorded everything from hit romantic ballads like “Spanish Eyes” to the campy platinum-selling theme song “Lesbian Seagull” for the Beavis and Butthead movie. His songs are currently back on the charts in his native UK thanks to a dance mix album by The Humps. He also has a career-retrospective box set due for release in May.
Humperdinck will be appearing at The Orleans for four nights beginning April 27 with a show that combines performances of his many hits with the occasional comedic impression.
