Gretchen Wilson To Perform Free Concert at Fremont Street Experience
Country artist Gretchen Wilson exploded out of the box three years ago with her ode to “Redneck Women” and since then has racked up over six million albums sold for her two releases, Here For the Party and All Jacked Up.
Next Tuesday, she releases her third cd, One of the Boys, and she’s going to debut songs off it when she hits the stage in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 13, as part of the Academy of Country Music’s awards week.
Wilson will take the stage at 10pm with “friends” – which will probably include Muzik Mafia mates Big & Rich, among others – for a free show at the 1st and 3rd St Stage (between the Four Queens and Fitzgerald’s).
I’ve seen her live several times, and this is one show you don’t want to miss.
She’ll also be at the actual awards on May 15, where she is nominated for Vocal Event of the Year for both “Politically Uncorrect” and “That’s How They Do It In Dixie,” and she has an additional producing nod for “Politically Uncorrect.” But if you want to see her there, it’ll cost you.
