Hot Hot Heat to do Mini Vegas Tour This Weekend
Canadian indie-rockers Hot Hot Heat are certainly milking their tour itinerary for all the Vegas time they can get.
Touring in support of their upcoming fifth cd, Happiness Ltd., the band first appears in town this Thursday, July 19th, at the Pearl at the Palms. They are the opening act for Scottish alt-rockers Snow Patrol’s current US tour (tickets are $37, if you’re interested in going), so expect an abbreviated set culled from their five albums.
But rather than take a day off, Hot Hot Heat jumps over the Strip to perform a full headlining show for the Hard Rock Hotel’s weekly Friday pool party concert series on July 20th. Tickets for this are $20, but you can get a free ticket online, courtesy of SpyOnVegas.com, which also includes admission to the website’s open bar at the pool, starting at 7pm.
Not content to simply do two shows in two nights, the band will cap off Friday night by heading over to the Downtown Cocktail Lounge (at the intersection of Fremont Street and S. Las Vegas Blvd; 702.880.3696) to try their hands at spinning the tunes with a few DJ sets. Start time is however long it takes the band to get from the Hard Rock stage to the club and cover is free.
It should also be noted that Thursday’s concert is all ages, but both of the Friday events are 21 and over.
