Jamie Cullum Swings Into House of Blues
Looking as though he could belong to the latest in punk pop bands, pianist/vocalist Jamie Cullum proves looks can be deceiving. The British musician mixes jazz with melodic pop and rock into a crossover style that’s part Michael Buble, part Norah Jones and part James Blunt. Already on his fourth album, Catching Tales, Cullum has a devoted following on both sides of the Atlantic.
His current tour rolls into the House of Blues on May 20 with New York-based musician Raul Midon opening. Midon’s soulful latin jazz stylings should prove a great appetizer for Cullum’s main musical course. This show is all ages.
