Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary at The Aladdin Hotel

Kirk FranklinThe roof is about to be raised at The Aladdin Hotel & Casino at the end of March when the double bill of Gospel legends Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary stop by.

Franklin first rose to fame with his 1995 hit single, “Stomp,” and in his thirteen years of recording has amassed 3 Grammys and 9 Dove Awards (the Gospel equivalent of the Grammy). His Fo Yo Soul Entertainment company recently signed a deal with Zomba/BMG, which includes a new record label, his solo recordings and his services as producer on other recordings. His latest cd, Hero, debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts and has just been certified gold.

Tina and Erica Campbell, the sibling duo that comprises Mary Mary, have also enjoyed success in the Gospel community. Their debut album, Thankful, went platinum and spawned several hits. Over their career, they’ve amassed a mantle of awards including Grammys, Doves and AMAs. They’re currently touring on the strength of their recent self-titled release and #1 hit single, “Heaven.”
