Pink Colors the Stage at Mandalay Beach
Though her record label tried to lump Pink in with the Britneys, Christinas and Jessicas of the pop music world with her first album, she quickly set them straight. By her second album, Pink was making a statement loud and clear that she was her own person — a strong independent woman who happened to have her own vision for her music. Good move, as she proceeded to have hit after hit with songs like “Get the Party Started,” “Just Like a Pill” and “Trouble.”
Her current cd, I’m Not Dead, continues to show Pink is forging her own path. The first single, “Stupid Girl,” is a wonderful ode to not dumbing yourself down to be popular and the second single, “Who Knew,” is also climbing the charts.
Before she starts her arena tour this summer, Pink is warming up with smaller venues. One of them happens to be the outdoor stage at Mandalay Beach on June 30. Don’t miss this singer, who always puts on a great live show. You might even see her husband, motorcross superstar Corey Hart (and owner of Hart & Huntington Tattoo at The Palms), at the show cheering her on.
