Wayne Newton at The Flamingo

Wayne NewtonNothing epitomizes the Vegas lounge singer like Wayne Newton. A true showman, he has been entertaining audiences since he was six. By the time he was in his teens, he had played for presidents and the Grand Ole Opry. In addition to his long music career, he has also branched out into acting, playing everything from himself in movies like the hilarious Vegas Vacation to characters like “shock jock” Harold Wick on the hit television show “Ally McBeal”.

But it is his music for which Newton is best known. From his early hits, such as “Danke Schoen” and “Red Roses For A Blue Lady,” to later hits like “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast,” his show has a wide setlist to draw upon.

Newton headlined his first Vegas show at The Flamingo and it is here that he currently headlines again. “Mr. Las Vegas,” as he is known to many, will perform a week at the end of March and another week at the beginning of April before taking the summer and fall to tour the world. So if you want to see Newton in Vegas, this will be your last chance for a while.
