Grand Canyon Information
The Grand Canyon is about a five-hour drive by car from Las Vegas.
To get to the South Rim, take US 93 southeast through Boulder City and Kingman, Arizona, then go east on SR 40 to Williams. From there you’ll find signs pointing you north on SR 64 and SR 180. The total trip is about 260 miles.
The 275-mile trip to the North Rim is via 1-15, SR 9 east and south on SR 89 at the Mount Carmel Junction. Most tourists go to the South Rim.
Cars are charged $20.00 to get into the park, and motorcylces are $10.00.
There are several tour companies out of Las Vegas that offer trips to the Grand Canyon. Tours travel by bus, helicopter and small plane. Getting there by helicopter or plane takes about 40 minutes. You may also want to rent a car so that you can travel at your own pace.
