Pimps N Hos vs Strippers & Hustlers in Vegas
Labor Day weekend is usually home to the annual fetish ball known as Pimp N Ho: The Rockstars Ball, a night when thousands come to Las Vegas to dress in their best “pimp” or “ho” gear and party down in decadence until the sun comes up.
If you’ve been waiting all year for it, this year’s event takes place at Rain at the Palms on Sunday, August 31st.
The one-night only event features DJs Felix Da Housecat, Filo & Peri, 4Strings, Eric Cubeechee, Danny Love, Beej and the Funkler providing the tunes as the attendees provide the entertainment via barely-there costumes and the consumption of lots of alcohol. Tickets are $115 per person and include admission to the other nightlife areas of The Palms (Ghostbar, Moon, Playboy Club and the pool area). You can purchase them online in advance (recommended) or at the door.
But this year’s Pimp N Ho: The Rockstars Ball faces some serious competition as a new kid arrives in town for the weekend.
Those who follow the fetish lifestyle are fans of the wildly successful Exotic Erotic ball that takes place in San Francisco every year. Well, after much pleading from fans, event organizer Perry Mann has decided to bring his party to Vegas in the form of the Strippers & Hustlers Ball.
This event will take place over two nights at the Orleans Arena, on August 30th and 31st, and will feature live entertainment from Gilby Glarke, Richard Vission with Scooter and Lavelle, The Genitorturers, Drummer KC, Gen-XX, and Mobius8, as well as fetish performers like “the snake lady” and the Porcelain Twinz. There will be plenty of strippers in attendance, too, as they compete for cash and prizes in events like “Best Dancer,” “Best Pole Dancer,” and “Best Body.” Attendees are also encouraged to dress like strippers or hustlers, preferably in black, purple or pink colors, as they will not be allowed entrance if they don’t.
Tickets for the Strippers & Hustlers Ball are $69 (GA) and $125 (VIP) for a single day ticket, or $99 (GA) and $175 (VIP) for two-day passes, and are available at the Orleans Arena box office.
Due to the availability of alcohol, along with the extreme likelihood there will be lots of nudity (intentional or not), both events are 21 or older. But beyond that, they both appear to be aimed at the same party crowd. So the question is, which will prove to be the bigger draw? Pimp N Ho: The Rockstars Ball does have a long established history in Vegas, but Strippers & Hustlers has the Exotic Erotic Ball pedigree behind it – plus it’s two nights long vs. only one for Pimp N Ho. It also seems that while Pimp N Ho: The Rockstars Ball is a dress-up in costume-type of club event, the Strippers & Hustlers Ball is more of a true fetish event.
Are you planning to go to either? Do you think it’s too much of a good thing, even with the large amount of partiers that come to Vegas for the Labor Day weekend? I guess we’ll have to wait and see which one comes out on top when all the tickets are tallied.
