Things to do for Kids at Circus Circus Las Vegas
For the majority of travelers, Las Vegas conjures the world of glitz and glamour: gambling, dancing the night away in posh clubs, drinking, partying and getting married (often, in secret). But in this sinful world, there are also quite a lot of places to spend time as a family, even with the kids.
A month earlier we talked about the things to do for kids at Excalibur Hotel and Casino and now it’s time to show you the adventure kids can have at Circus Circus Las Vegas .
Everything at Circus Circus Las Vegas seems to be geared towards children. This is one hotel and casino on the Strip where you won’t find nightclubs, lounges with live music or even shows. Instead, you’ll find America’s largest indoor theme park, an arcade and a lot of free circus shows. Now, that’s definitely something even adults like to experience when they want to go back in time.
Adventuredome
Adventuredome is set on 5 acres and is open daily from 10 a.m. The nation’s largest indoor adventure park is connected to Circus Circus Las Vegas via The Promenade. Riding the individual rides cost either $4 or $7, depending on what you choose. There are daily passes available as well: Junior Pass $14.95 (under 48 inches tall) and Regular Pass $24.95 (48 inches tall and taller).
The rides and attractions are divided into several categories: premium, large, junior and family rides. The newest attraction is custom made race track where everyone can have with the remote cars.
The premium rides include: Canyon Blaster – the roller coaster speeding through The Adventuredome at 55 mph -, Disk’O – where you’ll be spinning out of control -, Marvin the Martion – a unique 4D experience -, Rim Runner – a wild, wet and wacky ride – , Slingshot – shoot up a tower to feel 4G forces -, Chaos – experience three ranges of motion -, Inverter – endless flipping and feeling the g-force -, Lazer Blast – zap your friends and family – and SlimEx Theatre – the SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D Ride.
The large rides include: Canyon Cars – bumper cars – and Sand Pirates – swing in a pirate ship and don’t forget to hang tight!
The junior rides include: Frog Hopper, Miner Mike – cool train ride- and Thunderbirds.
The family rides include: B.C.Bus, Circus Carousel, Drifters and Road Runner.
Adventuredome also includes: Xtreme Zone – where you can try your luck at rock climing or bungee jumping -, Pike’s Pass – 18 holes miniature golf course -, Highway 86 – mini bowling arena (without the silly shoes!).
The Midway Games can be found here as well. There are ton of things to try and many cool prices to win. And the Arcade is a video game galore where the kids will discover interesting games and the adults will go back in time.
Free Clown Shows take place on the main stage within Midway. Performances take place daily at noon, 1, 3 and 4 pm (on Fridays and Saturdays there are additional performances at 6, 7 and 8 pm.
Circus Acts at Circus Circus Las Vegas
Circus Circus Las Vegas is home to the World’s Largest Permanent Circus. Show times are every half hour from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every Wednesday and until midnight on weekends. You don’t need to make reservations and, best of all, it’s free to watch the shows.
The death-defying acts take place high above the casino floor, on the center stage of the Carnival Midway. The acts include jugglers, unicyclists, trapeze artists and acrobats. Each show takes about 10 minutes.
