Bellagio Las Vegas
Bellagio is a luxury hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip. It was built on the site of the demolished Dunes hotel and casino and is owned by MGM Mirage. The hotel was inspired by the Lake Como resort of Bellagio in Italy and is known for its elegance and the beautiful Fountains of Bellagio, which dance synchronized to music.
Year opened
The Bellagio opened on October 15, 1998 in a ceremony which cost US$88 million. The hotel and casino was built on the site of the legendary Dunes hotel and casino (which was demolished in 1993). Since 2000, it became MGM Mirage property (when Mirage Resorts merged with MGM Grand Inc.).

Bellagio Las Vegas is located opposite Bally’s Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas and Aladdin Resort Las Vegas. It stands between Caesars Palace and City Center (Aria Resort & Casino).

The 30 story hotel and casino comprises a total of 3,933 rooms.
The casino
The total gaming space is 116,000 sq ft and is famous among professional poker players who prefer to play here because of the high table limits. The Bellagio partnered with the World Poker Tour and hosts several of their tournaments.
The casino at Bellagio features a lot of slots, table games, and Race & Sports Book. The table games include Blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat, Pai Gow and poker. Those who prefer the slots can choose among over 2,300 reel, video reel and video poker games, with denominations ranging from 1¢ – $1,000. The Bellagio Slot tournament offers incredible prize.
General prices
The Bellagio is definitely aiming at the five star, luxury crowds. The room rates start $300 per night even during the slower periods and easily reach $400 per night during the high season. It is not a place to be looking for heavily discounted rates. Special packages are available but the rates are still high.
Restaurants
Sticking with the elegant and luxury theme, the restaurants at Bellagio take you on an adventure tasting various cuisines of the world. You can choose between formal and casual restaurants and there are place where you can grab a quick snack as well. In total there are almost 20 restaurants and cafés to choose from.
