Maxim Gets Approval To Build
About nine months ago, Maxim Magazine held their 100th issue party in Vegas. And it was at that time that rumblings started that the men’s magazine was looking to expand their empire into Vegas with an actual resort.
This week, those plans got approval from the Clark County Commissioners who have approved permits for a Maxim-themed mixed-use megaresort.
Located next to the northern side of Circus Circus, on The Strip, the property will consist of three towers with 300 hotel rooms and over 1800 condo units spread out over the nearly eight-acre grounds. There are also plans for a 60,000-square-foot casino and several entertainment venues, including a Maxim Lounge (operated by nightlife maven Rande Gerber) and both indoor and outdoor concert spaces.
Developers plan to break ground on the megaresort, with a projected completion date of 2010.
