Ravella Las Vegas

Not everyone who visits Las Vegas is looking for the stereotypical Sin City experience. Bright casinos, high-energy nightclubs and miles of shopping opportunities aren’t necessarily a draw for everyone, and if that’s the case for you, consider checking out Ravella Las Vegas.

Located 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip on Lake Las Vegas, Ravella is an upscale property ideal for business meetings and conventions as well as visitors who truly want to get away from the glitz and glam of the city. Though offerings are not as robust as those at other Las Vegas hotels, Ravella offers a noteworthy spa, stunning views from every room and easy access to shopping, dining and entertainment options available at The Village Lake Las Vegas.

A Little History

Ravella at Lake Las Vegas is a Dolce Hotel and Resort. It sits on 15 acres of the master-planned Lake Las Vegas development and occupies the space that formerly housed the Ritz Carlton. The grand opening for the property was February 11, 2011.

Location

Address: 1610 Lake Las Vegas Parkway, Henderson

Hotels/Resorts Located Nearby: Not a single one, which is why many people find this property appealing. It is located in the Lake Las Vegas planned development, adjacent to The Village Lake Las Vegas.

Rooms and Suites

Ravella has 349 rooms and suites. Most are standard rooms with either king-sized beds or doubles while 35 are large suites. All rooms contain large, spa-style marble bathrooms, fine linens and views of the lake. The two presidential suites have several sitting and meeting rooms as well as two bathrooms and a laundry room, but they only have one bedroom each.

General Prices

Rates start at about $148.00 per night for a standard room, though there are many discounts available for state and government employees, Nevada residents, AAA members and AARP members. As always, it is worth checking for getaway packages that include accommodations, vouchers for meals and other discounted offerings.

Restaurants

Guests staying at Ravella have the opportunity to dine in the Firenze Lobby Lounge while those staying on property for meetings have additional dining options. A partnership with restaurants in The Village Lake Las Vegas, located within a short walking distance from Ravella, gives guests preferred reservations and the option to bill Village meals to their rooms.

Meeting and Event Space

Though not normally noted when we write about hotels on WhyGo Las Vegas, it is worth making mention of the meeting and event space at Ravella Las Vegas because this is one of the resort’s biggest selling points. The property has nearly 39,000 square feet of meeting space with rooms that can accommodate 10 to 1,000 guests at a time.

Ravella’s diversity of meeting spaces also makes it an ideal location to host a wedding. In addition to a chapel (the only over-water chapel in Las Vegas, by the way), people can tie the knot in the garden, courtyard or lakeside pavilion or even on the beach. Venues for reception options are also numerous.

Ideal Visitors

Ravella is heavily marketed toward the business traveler and for those who need to hold a meeting, convention or event. An on-site event planner can handle any and all event needs, making the planning process practically seamless for those in town for business. This resort is also an ideal for those who enjoy the likes of Palm Springs or Phoenix; it’s hot, sunny and relaxing without being pretentious or overwhelming. That said, there isn’t a whole lot to do at Ravella, so if you’re looking for action or something to keep the kids busy, this may not be the ideal Las Vegas hotel for you.

Travel Tips

  • You’ll need a rental car to reach Ravella and to travel anywhere else outside of the Lake Las Vegas area.
  • Ravella is surprisingly close to Hoover Dam. If you stay here, a day trip to the dam is practically a must.
  • The resort is classy but not necessarily modern. Hallways are narrow with low ceilings. If you stay in a presidential suite, you’ll have a significant walk to reach your room.
  • There is one parking garage for The Village and Ravella. Park on the end opposite The Village, then wind your way around the sidewalk to the hotel’s lobby.
