Paul Oakenfold Takes Residence at Rain
According to Xania Woodman of the Las Vegas Weekly, international DJ superstar Paul Oakenfold has signed a deal with the N9NE Group to head up a new promotional night at the Rain Nightclub at the Palms.
Saturday nights at the long-running club will turn into “Paul Oakenfold Presents Perfecto Saturdays” sometime in August or September, after Oakenfold finishes his summer world tour. The legendary DJ will helm the turntables at least twice a month, with other DJs on his Perfecto label helming the turntables when he isn’t there.
Woodman says that what will also set this promotion apart from others is that instead of blowing a huge budget on celebrity guest hosts, as most clubs currently do, N9NE Group is instead spending the money on custom props and performance artists to turn Rain into a “Cirque du Soleil meets Ibiza” atmosphere.
This will be Oakenfold’s first regular residency in ten years, and the deal is quite a coup for the N9NE Group.
