Riding the Bus in Las Vegas
The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) runs the Citizens Area Transit (CAT) bus system throughout the Las Vegas valley. There are several CAT lines that run through the city, but visitors will find the double-decker Deuce bus that runs up and down Las Vegas Boulevard to be the most helpful.
The Deuce operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. It stops at nearly every hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard and continues into downtown near Fremont Street. Bus stations are indicated by signs or bus shelters.
An unlimited two-hour Deuce pass costs $5.00, and a 24-hour all-access pass is $7.00—a steal compared to the price of a taxi. One-way and day passes can be purchased from the ticket vending machines located near the bus stops. You must have exact change to purchase from these machines.
