There's a shake-up in the Las Vegas nightclub scene. Pure Management Group is turning over its nine properties – including Pure Nightclub, LAX, Social House and Coyote Ugly – to Angel Management Group. It will be interesting to see if this changes the character of any of these clubs.

Another non-stop flight is coming to McCarran. Starting November 17, you can fly non-stop to Bakersfield, California.

Local celebrity Tony Curtis passed away in his Las Vegas valley home. Though he didn't play an active entertainment role in Sin City, he did live here.

The campground near Red Rock Canyon has been closed since June 1. It will be open again this week.

What goes around, comes around. Beer bottles collected at Strip casinos have been made into park benches! Yay for eco-Vegas!

Rod Steward comes to Las Vegas, if only briefly. Catching him live at the Colosseum November 6-November 21.
