Mirage Las Vegas
Mirage Las Vegas is a casino resort located on the Strip, in Las Vegas. It is owned by MGM Mirage. Its signature attraction is the volcano erupting night in front of the reason. The resort’s theme is French Polynesia.
Year opened
Mirage Las Vegas opened on November 22, 1989. It was the most expensive resort/casino in history (the contraction costs totaled $630 million). The construction of the resort was considered very noteworthy and many considered it has set a new standard for Sin City.
Between 1993 and 2003, the Mirage was home for the Siegfried & Roy show. The entertainers combined magic with the use of animals. The show closed in 2003 when Roy Horn was injured by a tiger and it has impacted the resort for a while.
After hosting a run of the Cirque du Soleil show Nouvelle Expérience in a tent in the Mirage parking lot in 1993, they finally returned to the Mirage with a permanent production called “Love”.
